Regine Maier

Growing up in Germany, Regine Maier was part of a large musical family. She played both the violin and piano. Regine studied music at the University of Frankfurt, as well as the Mozarteum in Salzburg. She then completed her graduate studies at Basel. Regine moved to Egypt to join the Cairo Symphony Orchestra before moving to Canada to join the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. She was then the concertmistress of the Concordia Symphony Orchestra. Regine was inspired to teach with Edmonton Suzuki Piano School after her daughter graduated from the program. Regine has completed extensive Suzuki teacher training. When not at the piano, Regine can be found in the River Valley, where she loves to walk, cross-country ski, and practice her photography.
